andigehtnachtaiwan: Design Expo, Shieh Chien, Taipei .....

Badam!!! So the last week and this week and this week in total I have been 5 or six times in Taipei. I really should move there since I just have 3 days class in the afternoon. :) But I am afraid If I d stay in Taipei I never will do my assignments. Just kidding.

Yeah I had two field Trips with my classes there, one day Luxy the other day Wall then one day shopping and of course the double 10 festivities. But I like it.

So we tried 2 times to go to the design expo on Monday which was almost impossible because the where millions of people ( since the entry is free ;) )

But yesterday we managed to see almost all of it ( all of one exhibition area !)

Yeah I have to say I imagined greater but it is ok. Some interesting stuff. But for the size of the Exhibition area they really exhibit very few. Dunno why.

I really did not take that many pictures. Since these are the pics of Monday we did not visit nothing at all! :( These are beautiful houses and the 101 in the background.

Oh ja !!!!!! Calpis! Japans bestes! For those who do not know what Calpis is. It is some kind of yoghurt soda and it is a little sweet. I love it!

After the whole exhibition thing we went to Ximen, the hip young district in Taipei, to see the double 10 fireworks there. We went to a Korean restaurant. And I have to say, every time I eat something Korean it is always good! This Is a small Korean barbecue with the best Miso soup I ate so far!!!

After dinner we went to a Bar near to see the fireworks. Ha no way it was so clouded that day that we did not manage to see nothing at all. So this is how it may have looked like :) By the way this billboard says, Jack Daniels. No Whiskey, no Bourbon ... and something i cannot remember!!! Yeah because its crap!!!

This is the open air bar we have been to it is called Shibuya, and it really fits Ximen.

This is so Ugly that I had to take a picture. It is our Mrt train to Mainstation. And the whole train looked like that! ARGHHHH!!!!!

So on wednesday we had some kind of Final presentation 4 the the 1. Project. I am afraid we did not manage to finish it. So the whole movement was not quite working. But since we were not they only ones it was ok. And we have another week to finish it.

So our teacher invited her 2.grade course to judge our models. And I just saw 9, and 8. So we got pretty good grades. After that she invited last years design studio teacher to judge. It is the guy in the white outfit. He is working for Asus. And really knows what he is talking about ...

So on friday my material design class went to a field trip to taipei to Shieh Chien University. One of the best Design Universities in Taiwan. And I really was very exited since I wanted to talk to the office about their master degree programs. This photography shows a traffic managing roboter !!!

We had lunch at a vietnamese restaurant. A lot of food,

soup, dessert and just for 2,50 €

So I talked to women in the Communications design office about the master degree programs, and she said. Hm , Hm we just have one foreign student. And hm hm I dont think that you can keep up with the other students. And that my chinese is to bad. Oh really? Thats not new to me. Ok i have to look for antoher plan.

So after the university action we went to the Design expo agian. And this time we managed to see a lot. Although i did not take any pictures unless this one here!

This are traditional aboriginal taiwanese pattern. It reminds me of Native americans.
